Value of Linen
The origins of linen date back to ancient times of over thirty thousand years ago. And it's no wonder it has been able to withstand the test of time: linen is a strong fabric. It resists stretching, and has versatility in texture. Some may think that linen is rough and scratchy, but the truth is that quality linens are woven to feel smooth, soft, and comfortable against the skin. Even when it is wet, the strength of the fibres remains, and it dries quickly, unlike cotton.
Two of our own lines at Grimwood star amazing linen pieces in their collections. Sarah Pacini is known for their unique and innovative new fabrics they bring to life, and offer the endurance for the woman with places to go. Both their 100% linen and mixed linen pieces are engineered for great fit and functionality. Gershon Bram takes the cake on freedom of movement and ease of wear in their linen pieces. Though at first glance their linens may look stiff, it is designed to have structure, and only gets softer as you wash it.
